Najva Sol: Pohledy / Postcards

Pohledy
Najva Sol - americká fotografka kurátorka akční umělkyně a básnířka jedna půlka Brooklinského dua Lowbrow Society for the Arts. Její práce je přirozené, skandální, třpytivé a pobuřující  pouliční umění. Moje poznání této kontroverzní umělkyně začalo pohledem poslaným od přátel z Ameriky. Motiv mě tak zaujal, že jsem začala sledovat Najvy portfolio a rozhodla se jí kontaktovat pro tento kurátorský projekt. Už styl naší táhle domluvy napovídal o hlavním tématu. Doba odeslání dopisu a jeho doručení do San Franciska,by  byla přímo úměrná mé rychlosti odeslání e-mailu. Tímto vzdávám hold tradičnímu způsobu konverzace, kdy i jediná věta na papíře, která zažila tak dlouho cestu aby si jí mohly přečíst oči na jiném kontinentě se stává závažnější, než deset vět na internetových sociálních sítích.
 
Postcard
Najva Sol - American photographer, dancer, model, curator, action artist and poet; founder of the Brooklyn collective, Lowbrow Society for the Arts. Her works are natural, glittery and scandalous street art. My meeting with this controversial artist began through my friend in New York who sent me one of Najva’s postcards. I was so intrigued by the photo that I started to watch Najva's portfolio and decided to contact her for this curatorial project. In the first place our style protracted communication about the exhibition suggests by the principal draft. The time of dispatch to deliver a postcard to San Francisco is directly proportional to my speed of responding to an email. I hereby pay tribute to this traditional way of communication, where even a single sentence on a piece of paper, which has experienced a long journey to get to her reader’s eyes in a different continent, becomes more serious than ten sentences on online social networks.
